If you have any questions about accessibility or need assistance, you can always ask the staff. We do our best to make sure everyone has as pleasant a visit to the museum as possible. You can also call or email us in advance if you have anything on your mind.
Tickets and museum shop
The information desk, ticket counter, and museum shop are located in the main building, ‘Sagalundgården’, which is wheelchair accessible via a ramp. Tickets can also be purchased online.
Accessibility with a wheelchair
* The museum can be challenging to move around in with mobility aids. The museum grounds have small hills and uneven terrain. Many of the museum’s buildings have stairs and high thresholds, and many of them are not wheelchair accessible.
* If you use a wheelchair, you can visit the main building (called Sagalundgården) and the Falla farmhouse. The Annex building can also be accessed with a manual wheelchair if someone helps you. It may be difficult to access these buildings with an electric wheelchair. You can ask the staff about other ways to experience the museum.
*The main building (Sagalundgården) has the museum’s only accessible toilet. It may be tight for an electric wheelchair. Other toilets can be found in the basement of the main building and at the Vreta school on the museum grounds.
Sensory information
* Many of the museum’s buildings are dim. You can use your phone’s flashlight to help you see in them.
* The museum can be noisy, especially in summer. You can ask the staff for help finding a quieter place.
Personal assistants
Entrance is free for personal assistants.
Guide dogs
Guide and assistance dogs are welcome everywhere in the museum. Other dogs are welcome in the museum park.

It is a matter of honor for us to serve everyone equally and to be able to accommodate participants’ accessibility needs. Our goal is for each participant to have the opportunity to experience success in our activities in a safe environment while being themselves. Sagalund has introduced the More Accessible Hobby -label. This means that we are committed to promoting equality and accessibility broadly in our activities. We continuously evaluate and develop our operations to ensure that everyone can enjoy the joys and benefits of hobbies.
We work on improving our accessibility according to our own accessibility plan, based on the 18 recommendations of the More Accessible Hobby -label.
Languages
We always provide service in at least Finnish, Swedish, and English. All our events and activities are conducted in at least Finnish and Swedish.
Lunch café
The café/lunch restaurant Café Adèle, run by a private entrepreneur, is located on the first floor of the main building. The main building is wheelchair accessible via a ramp.
Strollers
It is easy to move around the museum park with your own stroller. The distance from the main building to the farthest building in the area is about 300 meters. Certain areas are harder to access with a stroller, but there are also some gravel paths.
There are also a few pull-carts in front of the main building that you can borrow during your museum visit. Please return the borrowed cart in front of the main building after your visit, thank you!
Baby care room
A changing table and potty are available in the restroom on the first floor of the main building. The museum café-restaurant also has high chairs for children.
Bus stop
The nearest bus stop for the Turku-Dalsbruk and Salo-Dalsbruk lines is located near the museum’s intersection in Vreta. The stop is called ‘Vreta Sagalund’. The walking distance from the stop to the main building is about 300 meters. Bus schedules can be found on Matkahuolto’s website.
