Wheelchair accessibility
* The main building in Sagalund is accessible by wheelchair via a ramp. Inside the main building, there are some thresholds.
* At the entrance of the Annexe exhibition building, located next to the main building, there are no stairs, but there is a low threshold at the doorway, so you might need assistance getting over it.
* The Falla living farm has a ramp, and the thresholds in the building are made so that it is easier to move around.
* Unfortunately, the other museum buildings in the museum area are difficult to access by wheelchair. There are steps at the entrances and high thresholds at the doors.
* However, it is possible to move around the museum park with a wheelchair. The distance from the main building to the farthest building in the area is about 300 meters. Certain areas are harder to go with a wheelchair because of roots and softer ground, but there are also some gravel paths.
* Read more about the accessible sensory garden below.
* We encourage you to contact us when planning your museum visit so that we can together find the best solutions for a pleasant museum day. We are working to improve physical accessibility wherever possible.

The accessible sensory garden
Behind the main building is a sensory garden, opened in summer 2020, that is easy to visit even with a wheelchair. The plants, which can be smelled and tasted, are planted in high raised beds, making them easy to examine from a wheelchair. There are also seating areas in the garden.

Personal assistants
Entrance is free for personal assistants.

Public toilets
Public toilets are located in the basement and on the first floor of the main building.

Accessible toilet
An accessible toilet is available on the first floor of the main building, near the museum shop and the café. The main building is wheelchair accessible via a ramp.

Baby care room
A changing table and potty are available in the restroom on the first floor of the main building. The museum café-restaurant also has high chairs for children.

Lunch café
The café/lunch restaurant Café Adèle, run by a private entrepreneur, is located on the first floor of the main building. The main building is wheelchair accessible via a ramp.

Strollers
It is easy to move around the museum park with your own stroller. The distance from the main building to the farthest building in the area is about 300 meters. Certain areas are harder to access with a stroller, but there are also some gravel paths.
There are also a few pull-carts in front of the main building that you can borrow during your museum visit. Please return the borrowed cart in front of the main building after your visit, thank you!

Bus stop
The nearest bus stop for the Turku-Dalsbruk and Salo-Dalsbruk lines is located near the museum’s intersection in Vreta. The stop is called ‘Vreta Sagalund’. The walking distance from the stop to the main building is about 300 meters. Bus schedules can be found on Matkahuolto’s website.
